A self-supporting, high-quality EPS shuttering panel for realizing unidirectional beam floors. It weighs less than half of comparable hollow core precast floor systems while providing the same load capacity, reducing the load on walls and foundations.
Insulation Without Thermal Bridges, Self-Supporting and Light Floor
Using PLASTBAU Metal for basement and first-level floors results in better living conditions and energy savings. When used in roof construction, a ventilated roof is achieved by connecting the longitudinal cavities. One of the most important and unique features is the continuity of insulation, assured by the tongue-and-groove connection between the panels. The insulation is incorporated directly into the concrete structure and is therefore obtained automatically. The insulation R-value can vary according to project requirements, in a range from R-3 to R-6.
The PLASTBAU Metal manufacturing system can provide tailor-made products to solve floor and roofing needs. The highly sophisticated and fully automated production line can produce tapered PLASTBAU Metal elements and can include custom features such as skylight openings.
The insulation value can be varied according to project requirements. Roof slopes from horizontal to vertical can be accommodated, and floor and roof shapes other than rectangular or square can be easily achieved by cutting the elements into the desired form while still maintaining perfect insulation continuity. These features provide builders with custom-tailored products without the usual tailor-made labour content.

Key Benefits
Self-SupportingThe panels have self-supporting capacity and can carry the usual loads at the job site. Temporary supports are generally needed approximately every 2 meters. Less Floor WeightThe system weighs less than half of comparable hollow core precast floor systems while maintaining the same load capacity, which also reduces the load on walls and foundations. Green BuildingPLASTBAU Metal floors improve living conditions and energy savings. When used in roof construction, they can create a ventilated roof through the connection of the longitudinal cavities. |
VentilationThe longitudinal cavities, with a diameter of 120 mm, can be extended to the exterior walls and ventilated easily, offering a rational solution for condensation problems. InsulatingThe continuity of insulation is ensured by the tongue-and-groove connection between the panels. The insulation is fully incorporated into the floor structure. |
